Final Project #5 - Artist Statement/Proposal

For my final project in digital imaging, I want to explore the idea of painting and creating intuitively, random mark making, and the use of abstraction. I want to combine my knowledge of painting, drawing, and/or ceramics, color theory, as well as photo shop manipulation -- to create an image that conveys a subconscious emotion or feeling. I want to convey emotion through my piece, without necessarily showing that emotion in a representative way.

Using various brush strokes, marks, and drawings that I will scan into photo shop, I will layer, alter, and manipulate these in order to form an image.
